configuration should you like the looks of this weapon, but not want a full
training weapon: Look Here.
DESCRIPTION:
The M4 is a relatively modern rifle, with the current US Army version (the M4A1) being
introduced in 1994, It is a reliable and effective carbine that is IDEAL as a standard service
rifle as it is lightweight, accurate, and can be very quickly modified to suit any role on the
battlefield - The M4/16 platform can be used to make DMR's, Snipers, Rifles, Carbines.. etc.
The iconic shape of the M4 has become the symbol for the modern day assault rifle, it has
featured in almost every war game including the likes of Battlefield and Call Of Duty. It is
not only an immensely popular service weapon but also one of the bestselling sporting rifles
(The AR15 version) ever made. It is even popular in the UK as a sport rifle in the correct legal
configuration.
Being a clone of the "PTW" range, this weapon incredible - the new split gearbox design allows
for an increased level of realism as the upper "piston" section comes out of the gun in much the
same way as the bolt carrier assembly does in an real AR-15. This also allows for the player to
VERY easily convert the weapon to different roles without having to buy a different full gearbox.
This system will allow you to have multiple pre-prepared uppers for different roles. For example,
lower power CQB friendly "pistons" are available for the split gearbox system allowing you to have
a very short stubby upper preset for CQB, while higher power "pistons" are available allowing you
to have another fully built upper ready for DMR'ing or for field play.
Externally this weapon is really quite something, it features a USMC style trade on the receiver with
a mock serial number. Annoyingly, just like with the Dboys version of the same "M4-SD" there is no
front sight included - this is not a horrendous problem as anyone looking to purchase a gun as
expensive as a PTW(or even PTW clone) will more than likely be using some form of optic.
The build quality of this weapon is, as you would expect, really quite something. it feels
comparable to a high-end G&P or W.E weapon, everything is solid and feels incredibly "real"
when compared to a low end weapon such as a CYMA beginner. This is one of the only airsoft
Armalite weapons that actually has a DECENT receiver - it does not feel "thin" or flimsy and will
not warp/distort like the cheap pot metal ones will. the only real complaint I have externally (apart
from the lack of a sight) is that the grip included with the weapon is one of the generic cheap, plastic
vertical grips. For a weapon this well made and built to such an amazing standard, this could
easily have been supplied with a clone AFG or similar. Regardless, seems as the grip is free there is
no real reason to complain.
